Lina S. Chan, FSA, MAAA, FCA is the managing partner and founder of CP Risk Solutions, LLC. Ms. Chan has over 20 years of underwriting, actuarial and risk management experience in the life and health insurance industry. At CP Risk Solutions, she consults with clients in the areas of product and portfolio strategies, market and product entry feasibility, acquisitions, company and product risk management, pricing, underwriting, program management, valuation, reinsurance solutions and broker relations.
Immediately before founding CP Risk Solutions, LLC, Ms. Chan was a senior vice president at Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance, Inc. in charge of the accident and health reinsurance underwriting operations. Her other experience includes Milliman USA, Transamerica Reinsurance, Management Facility Corporation, Actuarial Sciences Associates and Prudential Insurance Company of America where she played a leadership role in various actuarial and risk management capacities.
Ms. Chan is actively involved in the health care industry. She has served on committees for the American Academy of Actuaries, the Society of Actuaries, the Actuarial Society of New York and the Self-Insurance Institute of America. She has also presented at numerous industry events.
Ms. Chan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (1994), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (1991) and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries (2006). She graduated Bachelor Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York (1987).

MaryAnn Bush is an underwriting consultant for CP Risk Solutions, LLC. Ms. Bush is a well recognized underwriter in the industry. She has over 20 years of underwriting and related experience. With progressive management and leadership roles in companies of various sizes with a mix of different coverage lines and target market segments, she readily addresses CP clients’ needs at various levels of complexities and scope of products. She has cross-functional management experience with a demonstrated talent for blending business principles to write profitable accounts for recognized market leader.
Ms. Bush was Vice President of Underwriting for Vista Underwriting Partners, LLC, a start up Medical Stop Loss Managing General Underwriting operation. She was responsible for underwriting cases, directing staff and managing renewal block of business. Through her business network, she enabled and worked with marketing staff to establish ongoing business relationships. She coordinated and interfaced with outside vendors for case management review services and adopted recommendations in proposal and contract issuance. She interacted with reinsurers for facultative review negotiations as well as periodic audits. Ms. Bush also had underwriting leadership and senior positions at Elite Underwriting Services, Legion Insurance Company, Westport Reinsurance Management, Medigroup, Innovative Reinsurance Group, AmeriHealth Insurance Company, Physician Healthcare Plan of NJ and IOA Re.

Christopher S. Catlett, ASA, MAAA is an actuary consultant for CP Risk Solutions, LLC. Mr. Catlett has been serving in the life and health insurance industry as a consultant in the past 10 years including experience with Deloitte Consulting and Milliman, Inc. He has been involved in actuarial modeling, IBNR analyses, merger and acquisition, data warehousing and employee benefit consulting. He is an advisor on actuarial and other technical issues for CP consultants as well as CP’s clients.
Mr. Catlett was an actuary for Deloitte Consulting. While there, he developed various actuarial and analytical models to assess health care and prescription drugs expenditures. He was also with Milliman, Inc responsible for a variety of actuarial work. Mr. Catlett also has internship experience with Great-West Life and Annuity and PricewaterhouseCooper.

Valerie A. Lendt, FSA, MAAA is an actuary consultant for CP Risk Solutions, LLC. Ms. Lendt has over 20 years of underwriting and actuarial experience in the health insurance industry. She has extensive experience performing product development and pricing, rate increases, experience studies, rate and form filings, underwriting analysis, network analysis, expense studies, and financial projections for a variety of medical products, particularly individual medical products.
Prior to joining the CP team, Ms. Lendt was an independent consulting actuary. Her other experience includes Physician’s Mutual Insurance Company, World Insurance Company and Actuarial Management Corporation.
Ms. Lendt is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (1998) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (1993). She is also a member of LOMA’s Health Underwriting Study.
